Local experiences for the holidays
What we arrange: guided Giraffe Centre and Nairobi National Park tours, transport, packed breakfast for early starts, and your trip to our partner spa, Manama Spa & Barbershop, a short drive away in the Binaa Complex opposite Hillcrest School.
What others run: the Giraffe Centre, the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, the Karen Blixen Museum and Nairobi National Park are all in or near Karen and set their own tickets, rules and holiday opening times, so check their official information before you go. Wildlife sightings are never certain.
Eating out: Cave à Manger, The Wine Box's wine-paired restaurant, is in Karen Plains Arcade, our own arcade, opposite The Waterfront Karen, which is a few steps away. Cultiva, a farm-to-table restaurant, is also in Karen, and Karen's restaurants give you plenty more to explore. Book tables directly with each restaurant.

Are you hosting Christmas events this year?
Nothing festive is confirmed at the hotel for 2026, so we don't advertise Christmas dinners, parties or decorations. We focus on a comfortable room, good Kenyan food and help with your own plans.
When should I book a December stay?
Whenever your travel dates are settled. Live rates and availability are in our booking engine, so you can check your exact dates today.
Can you meet us at the airport?
Yes. We arrange private transfers from JKIA or Wilson Airport, priced per vehicle. A 4×4 Land Cruiser takes up to six people.
Is the spa inside the hotel?
No. Manama Spa & Barbershop is our offsite partner on Lang'ata Road. We arrange your pickup and drop-off; treatments are paid to Manama.
Can you help plan days out?
Yes. Tell us who is travelling and what you enjoy, and we'll suggest and quote tours, transport and a longer safari with Travel Corp.
