The 40th Kenya Homes Expo runs from Thursday 19 to Sunday 22 November 2026 at KICC in Nairobi. For many visitors, the show is where the search starts: you meet developers, compare finishes and pick up brochures, then spend the following days seeing homes and plots in person. Fitting both into one trip takes a little planning. This guide suggests how to structure your days, and how to set up a comfortable stay in Karen while you do it.

Before you travel
- Check the exhibitor list and visitor information on the organiser's site as it is updated.
- Write down what you are looking for: location, size, budget range, timeline, and whether you want a completed home, an off-plan unit or land.
- Line up your own professionals in advance, such as an advocate, so you can consult them while you are still in Nairobi.
- Book your room with enough nights for the show plus viewings. You choose the dates in our booking engine.
- Arrange your airport transfer so you are not negotiating a ride after a long flight.

How to use the four expo days

Questions worth writing down at each stand
These are practical prompts to help you compare options and brief your own advisers. They are not a substitute for professional advice.
- What exactly is included in the price, and what are the finishes and specification?
- What is the payment schedule, and what documents will I receive?
- What is the expected completion or handover date?
- Can I see a completed project by the same developer?
- Who should my advocate contact for documents?
Scheduling property viewings
Viewings are arranged directly between you and the developer or agent. A few habits make the days smoother:
- Group viewings by area. Nairobi traffic makes crossing the city twice in a day tiring. Journey times vary; check a live traffic app for your schedule.
- Allow no more than two or three viewings a day. You will want time to take notes and photos.
- Leave early. We can prepare a packed breakfast on request.
- Book a vehicle. Transport to viewings is quoted on request, so tell us the areas and timings you have in mind.
- Protect your evenings. Use them to compare notes and send questions to your advisers.

A sample ten-day trip
- Days 1–2: arrive, rest in Karen, finalise your shortlist.
- Days 3–6: expo days at KICC, in the CBD across the city from Karen. Allow generous time at peak hours.
- Days 7–9: viewings, grouped by area, with evenings for notes and adviser calls.
- Day 10: a slower morning, perhaps the Giraffe Centre, then your transfer to the airport.
Setting up your stay
A property trip involves paperwork, calls in different time zones and long days out. These details help:
- A work desk in every room and Starlink Wi-Fi, with our generator covering guest rooms and Wi-Fi during power cuts.
- Breakfast from 7:00, and lunch and dinner at the hotel for US$40 per day if you add them.
- Laundry at US$20 per bag, so a longer trip needs less packing.
- A 24/7 front desk, free on-site parking if you hire a car, and card or M-PESA payment.
Room choices that suit a property trip:
- Executive Room: our finest room, with a king bed and extra space to spread out documents.
- One Bedroom Apartment: a separate living area and kitchen facilities for a longer stay or a family.
- Deluxe Room: a king bed and a proper workspace.

- Airport transfers per vehicle, one way: JKIA sedan US$55 (up to 3), JKIA 4×4 US$95 (up to 6), Wilson sedan US$45, Wilson 4×4 US$85.
- Transport to KICC and viewings: quoted on request.
- Meals: US$40 per day for lunch and dinner.
- Your own professional fees, agreed directly with your advisers.
