David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust Tour | Karen Plains Hotel
David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust : Elephant Orphan Experience
The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust runs the world's most successful elephant orphan rescue and rehabilitation programme. Each morning, orphaned baby elephants are brought out for a public visit: feeding, playing in the mud, and interacting with their keepers as part of their daily rehabilitation routine. It is one of the most emotionally engaging wildlife experiences available in Nairobi.
The Trust is located approximately 15 to 20 minutes from Karen Plains Hotel.
Practical Information
Visits run in the morning only, typically 11:00am. Tickets must be booked in advance online at sheldrickwildlifetrust.org. Entry is approximately $15 per adult. The visit lasts approximately one hour.
Combining with Other Karen Attractions
The Sheldrick Trust works well as a morning activity combined with a National Park game drive or afternoon Giraffe Centre visit. All three are in the same south Nairobi corridor and can be covered in a single day from Karen Plains Hotel.
Book your Sheldrick Trust excursion or add a National Park game drive.
