Twende! · Nairobi International Trade Fair 2026
The Agricultural Society of Kenya’s Nairobi International Trade Fair opens at Jamhuri Park on Monday 28 September and runs through to Sunday 4 October 2026. It is the biggest annual event on the Ngong Road corridor, and for a week it changes how the whole of that side of the city moves.

Ticket prices and gate times are as published ahead of the show and can change. The organisers had not announced the official opening day guest at the time of writing. Check the ASK Kenya channels on the day you plan to go.
What actually happens there
The Trade Fair is part agricultural show, part trade exhibition and part family day out. Livestock and crop displays sit alongside machinery, county government stands, banks, insurers and food vendors. It draws exhibitors from across Kenya and the region, and school groups come in numbers during the week.
If you are exhibiting, you already know the week is long. If you are visiting, the practical advice is simple: go on a weekday morning rather than a weekend afternoon, and wear shoes you do not mind getting dusty — or muddy, if the short rains have started early.
Getting there, and the traffic
Jamhuri Park is off Ngong Road, roughly ten kilometres from the city centre. That is the same corridor Karen traffic uses to reach town, which means two things for anyone staying on this side of the city.
- You are on the right side of Nairobi. There is no need to cross the city centre to reach the showground.
- Ngong Road will be slower than usual all week, particularly in the late afternoon. Leave early, or make the morning your travelling time.

Staying in Karen while you are here
Karen Plains Hotel sits in Karen Plains Arcade on Karen Plains Road, a few steps from The Waterfront Karen and its restaurants and supermarket. Check-in is from 12:00 and check-out is by 10:00, breakfast runs from 7:00 to 10:30, and the front desk is staffed 24 hours, so a late arrival is never a problem. Parking is free, Wi-Fi is free throughout, every room has a work desk, and a generator covers the guest rooms and the Wi-Fi when the power goes. Lunch and dinner are available together for an extra US$40 per day if you would rather not go out.
Exhibitors staying the full week usually ask about two things: somewhere to work in the evening and somewhere to eat without going out again.
